A recovery-focused setting representing the transition from treatment to structured independent living

Recovery Continues in Real Life

Finishing treatment can be a major milestone, but the next stage brings a different set of challenges: housing, work, transportation, relationships, money, routines, appointments, and the everyday decisions that test recovery outside a highly structured environment.

The Other Door Recovery Residences (TODRR) is preparing to open its first Fort Myers recovery residence for adult men who are ready for structure, accountability, peer support, and practical reintegration.

What TODRR Is Designed to Provide

TODRR’s model is built around consistent routines, household responsibility, peer accountability, practical life skills, employment pathways, and connection to community recovery supports.

The goal is not to create another bubble. It is to help residents practice the habits, responsibilities, and relationships that support long-term recovery in ordinary life.

Recovery Housing Is Not Treatment

TODRR is not a treatment center, detox program, emergency shelter, or clinical facility. Recovery housing is a structured living environment designed to complement—not replace—appropriate clinical care, aftercare, medication management, and community recovery support.

TODRR’s model is MAT-friendly and focused on helping residents build stability while remaining responsible for their own recovery and daily life.

The Next Step

TODRR is currently working to secure and open its first Fort Myers residence. People interested in future housing, referral partnerships, employment partnerships, volunteering, or supporting the launch can connect with us through TODRR.com.
