A Mission Moving Toward Housing

The Other Door Recovery Residences, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) public charity working to open its first peer-led recovery residence in Fort Myers, Florida.

The focus is on a practical transition that can be difficult to find after treatment: structured housing where recovery is supported by accountability, daily responsibility, life skills, workforce readiness, and community connection.

Building the Model Before Scaling It

TODRR is intentionally focused on opening the first residence responsibly and establishing a strong recovery culture before expanding. The goal is to build a model that can be measured by real outcomes such as housing stability, employment progress, aftercare participation, practical life skills, and stronger recovery supports.

Life Outside the Bubble

TODRR has also developed Life Outside the Bubble™, a nine-volume recovery reintegration workbook and training series focused on the practical realities people face when they leave highly structured environments and return to everyday life.

Dirt to Table

The Dirt to Table Vocational Recovery Initiative creates hands-on opportunities to practice consistency, responsibility, teamwork, and vocational skills. The initiative received a $500 seed grant from The Pollination Project, an early investment in building practical recovery pathways.

How the Community Can Help

TODRR is building relationships with referral partners, employers, recovery organizations, volunteers, donors, and community leaders who believe recovery housing should be ethical, accountable, and connected to real-life reintegration.

If you want to help open the first door, visit TODRR.com to support the mission, discuss a partnership, or join the housing interest process.
